Getting A Little Help: Adding a TA to Your Blackboard Course

Users and Groups - Blackboard Control panelYou may be asking yourself, “Hey, can the folks at the DELTA center add a TA to my course?”.  The easy answer is: Yes we can!  However you may want to add them yourself.  In case you do want to add a Teaching Assistant to your course, or for that matter a fellow faculty member or colleague it is as easy as a couple of clicks of your mouse.  Here are the steps:

  • Log into Blackboard
  • Access the Course where you want to add your Teaching Assistant
  • Go to your Control Panel at the bottom of your course’s navigation menu
  • Click the Users & Groups section
  • Click the Users link
  • On the next page, choose the Find Users to Enroll buttonFind Users To Enroll
  • Type in the Username of the student and select Teaching Assistant as the role  (you can also browse and search for the student by last name) and click Submit
